Who it’s for
The summer school takes place every August and welcomes students who are about to start their BSc programmes at TU Delft in September. It revisits secondary-school mathematics through lectures, discussion and problem solving, with opportunities to meet fellow students before the academic year begins.
Programme
The syllabus follows Dutch Wiskunde B. The five-day 2026 edition covered the following topics:
| August 2026 | Topics |
|---|---|
| Thursday 6 | Polynomial and rational functions |
| Friday 7 | Trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions |
| Monday 10 | Differentiation |
| Tuesday 11 | Integration |
| Wednesday 12 | Further calculus, counting and vectors |
Each day combined lectures with exercise classes. Teaching assistants helped with questions about both the exercises and the lecture material.
My role
I am an organizer and lecturer for the TU Delft Mathematics Summer School, which has run from 2023 onwards. The aim is to help students refresh their Wiskunde B mathematics before they start their BSc programmes.
